Testing:
Test as an essential part of Design (verification, DV), and involves System Specification leading to Test Spec & Procedure for either on the Bench (manual) test or using ATE (automatic), which further branches into Test Hardware (fixture) and Test Software. In the OSI space this may be carried from PHY or Layer-1, to Layer-2 and Layer-3 involving Features (service), and overall System and on to Network.
